Today I’m back with another post on my Camp America journey so far. Last time, I told you about what Camp America is, my reasons for applying this summer, and where you can go to find out more information and apply yourself. This post is going to be about my experiences with the Camp America team so far: from my initial signing up, through to where I am now – with a finished application ready to be viewed by US summer camp directors so they can hire me!

I did my research, and have decided that CA is definitely the company for me to apply for the summer of a lifetime. There are lots of others out there (Americamp, CCUSA, BUNAC + more), but as Camp America will tell you, they are the original and best, since 1969!
The fees seem slightly higher, and wages slightly lower than some other companies at first glance, but having looked into all the payments, I'm pretty sure they all work out very similarly in the end! And who really cares about the money anyway, when there's all the fun and games to look forward to during your three months in America? It's not all work either! You get 30 days to travel the US once you've finished camp!
I'll be keeping you up-to-date with my ongoing application process; and make sure to post any hints and tips I discover along the way!
In the meantime, head to www.campamerica.co.uk to have a look, and apply for your best summer yet! Or click on the #iamCA in the top bar at any time to go straight there!
My name’s actually Laura, but at camp I go by Hobbs. Hobbs Ma’am to the kids. I’m a Scottish native, obsessed with Texas, having spent Summers 2016 and 17 out there. I live for camp, and I cannot wait to get back.
